Kapok is known to be a design hub where they regularly invite design individuals to create unique new products for the store. they also run quite a bit of pop-up shops with different designers / brands that are not available in HK and do launch events for young artists. it happened when I visited them last week they were hosting the pop-up store for Chariots on Fire.

Chariots on Fire are Ritz Yagi and Orlana Reich. there are essentially two sides of their business - one being a shop based in San Francisco (Wallpaper* magazine named it as one of their "best loved shops") and the other is creative consultancy on almost anything, from sourcing a particular piece of jewelry to designing a logo for a new company.
the pop-up shop this time features a selection of antique, vintage and contemporary jewelry they sourced globally. the range is made up of contrasting designs from bold, edgy, modern pieces to delicate, charming, one-of-a-kind vintage. I fell in love with a particular necklace from the 1960s. it's foldable in different shapes, here's my interpretations:
too bad I wasn't able to join the opening party. you can find the beautiful Opposite Attract collection on show at Kapok until Jan 2. hurry to go grab your piece, many of them are produced in limited quantity and vintage.
